About Annie



Annie Korzen is a writer/performer who has done humorous essays for NPR’s Morning Edition and published in The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, and many more.

She is the author of Bargain Junkie: Living the Good Life on the Cheap.

Annie co-wrote the feature film Nobody’s Perfect, starring Gail O’Grady and Chad Lowe.

She performs frequently at spoken word venues in Los Angeles.



Annie was a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show, having suggested the topic: “Ethnic Men Who Reject Their Own Women.” She appeared as an expert witness.

Annie is the only actor who played two different characters on Seinfeld. One was the recurring Doris Klompus in the Florida condo, the other an obnoxious airplane passenger. She has also played obnoxious characters on E.R., Judging Amy, Hannah Montana, and can be seen as John Turturro’s obnoxious mother in Transformers, Revenge of the Fallen. She has performed her solo extravaganza, Yenta Unplugged on three continents, and now has a new show, The Yenta Cometh.

Annie is active on the lecture circuit, and coaches people in public speaking.

Annie is married to Danish film producer Benni Korzen (Babette’s Feast).

Annie and her son Jonathan are both graduates of Bard College.
