BIOGRAPHY
ANNIE KORZEN began
her career as an actress-writer in New York’s Off-Broadway scene.
She has also worked in films (Tootsie, Stardust Memories,
etc.). In Los Angeles, Annie had a recurring role on Seinfeld,
playing Doris Klompus in the Florida condo. She also has been on E.R.,
Judging Amy, Oliver Beene and many other TV shows. 
Annie ’s
solo extravaganza YENTA
UNPLUGGED (Excuse Me, I’m Talking!) celebrates Jewish
women through comedy and music. The show has been produced from New
York to Sydney to Calgary and many points in between.
In
2005 Annie will launch her new show, ANNIE KORZEN: STRAIGHT FROM THE MOUTH: 60 minutes of comedy, music, and constructive criticism.
Annie is also on the lecture circuit with her talk, “The
Good Yenta: A Humorous Celebration of Jewish Women.”
On
the radio, Annie delivers humorous commentaries on National Public
Radio’s most popular show, “Morning Edition.” Her
essays have also been published in the Los Angeles Jewish Journal,
Orange County Jewish Life, theknish.com, and freshyarn.com.
Annie
co-wrote the feature film Nobody’s
Perfect,
starring Gail O’Grady and Chad Lowe. She was a guest on the Oprah
Winfrey show, having suggested the topic: “Ethnic Men Who Reject
Their Own Women.”
Annie
is married to Danish film producer Benni Korzen (Babette’s
Feast). They have a son, Jonathan, who
works in Internet publishing. Annie and her son are both graduates of Bard
College.
